Little Friends, inc. will be hosting a Job Fair Open House on Monday, February 11, 2019 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at our Administrative Building, 140 N. Wright Street in Naperville.

Larry Walanka

The success of Little Friends comes from staff across the agency coming together to be part of one team. Today, we are thrilled to recognize our team member, Larry Walanka, Controller in the Finance Department. Larry started with Little Friends in 2007 as a temp in the Finance Department. Larry was so impressed with the organization that when a full-time position became available, he immediately applied.

Throughout Larry’s time with agency’s Finance Department, he has been able to take on different roles and responsibilities. With his knowledge of Little Friends and the Finance Department, Larry has been able to implement efficient, timely, and accurate deliverables including financial statements.

Larry has enjoyed the many opportunities to volunteer at events and found it very rewarding to represent Little Friends and its’ mission. Larry stated his favorite was always Ribfest where he could proudly represent Little Friends and experience the music (which is a personal passion of Larry). Another highlight for Larry was the opportunity to travel to the Spectrum and Colorburst locations to see the clients as well as the operations. “I was very impressed with Tom Pendziszewski and his staff. Their professionalism and the adult programs are assets to Little Friends.” Larry stated “while things change over the course of time, one thing that remains constant is our clients who bring so much to Little Friends. They are the reason Little Friends remains strong today and will in the future.”
