Little Friends Krejci Academy has been selected as a 2019-2020 NASET School of Excellence.  Krejci Academy is among 100 schools nation-wide and only one of five schools in the State of Illinois to be recognized with this distinction.

Since 2008, the National Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET) has annually recognized qualified licensed private special education schools throughout the United States with the distinction of being selected as a NASET School of Excellence.  Selection as a NASET School of Excellence is the highest level of recognition a private special education school can achieve through the professional association.  This honor is presented to private special education schools that meet rigorous professional criteria and have demonstrated truly exceptional dedication, commitment and achievement in the field of special education.

“The selection of Krejci Academy as a NASET School of Excellence is an honor to be shared by the entire staff of Krejci Academy,” stated Camille Smith, Little Friends Vice President of School Programs. “I am proud of the dedicated commitment to a holistic program for each of our students that includes the development of academic, behavioral and social emotional skills. We are committed to the pursuit of excellence and the delivery of best practice programming for our students and their families.”

Located in Naperville, Illinois, Krejci Academy is a multi-faceted educational program for nearly 120 students, ages 5 to 21, who have autism or other emotional, behavioral or developmental disabilities. Currently, Krejci Academy serves students from over 40 different school districts across northeastern Illinois. Each student is provided with an individualized program that includes development and communication systems, behavior programs and cognitive therapies based on their personal needs.
