Big hearts needed to engage little minds and hold hands of special needs children and siblings age 5-12. Volunteers are needed to help supervise planned activities during our Respite Program. You will gain experiential learning for your future career in education, nursing, physical therapy and beyond. You can earn service hours or build your college and career resume. Choose one or multiple shifts. We are seeking high school and college students as well as adult volunteers on an ongoing basis. Serendipity Resale Shop
Serendipity Resale Shop is a program of Little Friends. Located at 12 W. Jefferson Ave. in downtown Naperville, all proceeds from sales benefit Little Friends. This shop is staffed entirely by volunteers and numerous opportunities exist. Contact Arlene Klucina, 331.228.1378 for more information about volunteering at Serendipity.
Little Friends recruits volunteers for numerous events including The Little Friends Benefit Auction, Krejci Academy Family Picnics, The Little Friends Parade of Lights and other events throughout the year. The success of these events relies heavily on the involvement of our volunteers. Event volunteers should be at least 16 years of age. Volunteers ages 14 to 16 can be welcomed with an adult volunteer. Community-based service clubs, youth groups and businesses work with Little Friends on various projects throughout the year. These projects must be planned in advance and with the assistance of the Agency Advancement team, Jason Altenbern, VP of Agency Advancement, firstname.lastname@example.org 630.281.1882.
All volunteers must take part in an extensive training program to get better-acquainted with those with whom we work, and program volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. If a volunteer will be working directly with an individual served by Little Friends, they must complete an application, interview and background check.
