Please watch our video to learn more about Little Friends School Programs

A fulfilling life reaches far beyond classroom walls, and so should your child’s education. At Little Friends School Programs, we teach the skills students need to live in the community.  Our therapeutic environment adapts to their needs, whether your child is mastering basic life skills or studying more traditional academics.  Regardless of learning style, we teach community integration to every student. Nurtured by our skilled staff, your child will prepare for life in the community. From intensive life skills guidance to academic and social emotional development, every program is tailored to meet your child’s unique needs.

Students are referred to Liittle Friends School Programs by their home school district or special education cooperative. The decision for placement is the consensus of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) team, which includes the student and his or her parents or legal guardian.

Little Friends serves students residing in DuPage, Will, Kane, Kendall, Grundy, LaSalle, DeKalb, McHenry and Cook (excluding Chicago) counties. Our regular school year commences at the end of August and ends the first week in June. There is also a five week summer session that begins immediately after the regular school year ends. The placing school district provides transportation to and from our schools.

Our Stories

“What a privilege to work for 35 years with a team of such amazing students, parents, and staff! Our students enter with hopes and dreams, yet barriers to overcome. Then I watch them graduate as confident adults with real options. I truly have seen ‘lives fulfilled’. ”
