Little Friends would not be the agency it is today without the dedication our staff shows to the students and clients every day. We are excited to celebrate Dee Khan's 30th anniversary at Little Friends this month. Dee, Secretary at The Mansion High School, reflected on her time at Little Friends by saying:
“What I like most about working at Little Friends is what I see on a daily basis; dedicated, committed staff with infinite patience working with The Mansion High School and Krejci Academy students. I can’t imagine that is not demanding and exhausting at times, but staff return each day because, clearly, they care very much for their students.
A fond memory I have is of the “Sittery,” a daycare offered by Little Friends for staff members’ children and managed by Jenni Hulsey! Every Halloween, the daycare staff and the cute, costumed babies and toddlers would parade through the Administration Building “Trick or Treating.”
I also remember working the reception desk at the Administration Building when CILA (Community Living Services) clients would sometimes come in with their direct care staff. The staff members are the most caring, gentle, and respectful people who treat the CILA clients like family.
The familiar, friendly staff we see day to day at Little Friends is kind of like extended family; and The Mansion High School is a comfortable, cozy place for both staff and students to work and learn. I love that the purpose and focus of Little Friends is helping people; not creating a product. For me, it’s the perfect place to come to work every day.”
Dee, thank you for the continued support you have provided to clients, students, and staff throughout Little Friends.
